Women’s Day with a Purpose: Making Safety a Priority at Paavai College of Engineering, Namakkal!
When women feel safe, a nation thrives. When women are empowered, the world progresses.
This Women’s Day, we didn’t just celebrate—we took action. We conducted a POSH Awareness Session at Paavai College of Engineering, Namakkal, with 195 students actively participating, equipping them with the knowledge, rights, and confidence to build a safer tomorrow.
The Power of Awareness: Why POSH Matters?
A safe workplace is not a privilege—it is a right. Every woman deserves to study, work, and grow in an environment free from harassment, discrimination, and fear. But awareness is the first step in making this right a reality.
• A nation can only progress when its women feel protected, respected, and valued.
• Safety is not just about protection—it is about empowerment.
• Knowledge is the strongest shield against injustice.
The Impact We Created: A Powerful Shift in Awareness
Before the Session:
Many students had only a basic or unclear understanding of workplace safety and their rights.
After the Session:
Knowledge transformed into confidence, with a remarkable increase in high scores, proving that education leads to empowerment!
More students now have a clear understanding of workplace rights & POSH principles.
A sharp decline in lower scores, meaning fewer students remain unaware of their rights.
The training helped bridge knowledge gaps, ensuring better preparedness for the future.

A Safe Nation is a Strong Nation
• Women’s safety is not a topic—it is a responsibility.
• A nation cannot progress if half its population lives in fear.
• True empowerment starts when we make safety non-negotiable.
This Women’s Day, let’s not just celebrate—let’s take action. Let’s educate, empower, and enforce the right to work and live fearlessly.
Because when women thrive, innovate, and lead without fear, we don’t just build stronger communities—we build a stronger world.
Together, we rise. Together, we empower change.
Heartfelt thanks to TN IWN for the meaningful Initiative.
