On March 22, 2024, at Vangal Girls Higher Secondary School, I conducted an awareness session on Child Sexual Abuse and provided insights and information on the prevention of Child Sexual Abuse , specifically addressing the POSCO Act 2012. This year, I have initiated these awareness sessions again, starting with this first session, and I have more sessions planned throughout the year.
The students demonstrated remarkable engagement and attentiveness during the session, actively participating by asking numerous questions. I was pleased to address their queries and provide feedback, fostering an open dialogue on this crucial issue. Even after the session concluded, several students approached me seeking further information about the act, and I was able to offer guidance and support.
Almost eight girls shared their stories with me, and I found solace in being able to guide and reassure them, instilling courage to confront their challenges. Overall, the session was incredibly impactful, empowering students and teachers with valuable knowledge and resources to address child abuse effectively.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the HM of Vangal School for allowing me to conduct this session and create a meaningful difference in the lives of these students.
